Wildlife Amazon Tour
3 Nights/ 4 Days
On the “Amazon Wildlife Adventure” you will explore the Amazonian rainforests in Colombia and Peru as you immerse yourself in and learn about the natural splendour of this region as well as its indigenous cultures by visiting various local communities.

After welcoming you at the airport we take a taxi down the road leading to Terapacá where we will begin an ecological walk of 2 hours in the jungle to the indigenous Wayruru community. During the walk you will learn about timber trees, medicinal plants of the region and the various indigenous cultures and their customs practices.
Upon reaching the Maloca or traditional longhouse, known to the natives of the region as a place where meetings and traditional festivals are held, you will be received by the shaman or leader in charge. He will speak about the importance of this place within the tribe and the sacred substances that are used there such as Mambe, Coca, Rape, Ambil and ground tobacco. You can then enjoy a traditional lunch. This is followed by a visit to the “chagra”, the place where traditional crops such as cassava, banana, pineapple, the coca plant and tobacco are grown. You will get the chance to learn about regional cuisine while preparing dinner with community members. After dinner we can go on a night walk to see bioluminescent mushrooms and other fascinating animals and plants.
Accommodation: Hammocks with Mosquito Nets
Breakfast at the Wayruru Natural Reserve is followed by a taxi and boat ride to the Marasha Nature Reserve in Peru. We will have to walk for approximately 1 hour and 45minutes until we reach the Reserve’s facilities. During the walk, you will experience the jungle, learn about timber and medicinal trees. Furthermore, there is the opportunity to observe different species of birds that inhabit the area. After lunch at the Nature Reserve we can go Piranha fishing, bird watching, canoeing or kayaking around the river and see some beautiful spots close by. In the evening, after dinner, you have the option to head out for some caiman spotting in canoas and enjoy the night sky
Accommodation: Rustic cabins with the basics.
Breakfast at Marasha’s followed by boat ride to the monkey Island in Colombia where you will have the opportunity to feed the squirrel monkey’s, after the activity you will take a boat ride to the Yaguas village where you will have time to interact with the members of the community, take a jungle walk, practice some traditional dance, swim in the river, night walk and some more if you still having more energy.
Accommodation: either in rooms with double beds (couples) or a room with multiple beds (groups)
We will have breakfast early in the morning and take the boat to Leticia, which will take us around 2 hours. We will then drop you off in town or take you to the airport as requested.
